About Studio Liebling
From a little studio in North Fitzroy, Melbourne, Studio Liebling’s leather accessory designs are dreamed up, sketched and realised.

THE HISTORY
Coming from a family heritage of Leather crafters, I learnt my trade from my Father, an award-winning Leatherworker.
Through my apprenticeship in traditional leather crafting and my parallel design and styling work, I have developed an individual approach to colour and shape combining traditional leather working techniques with a contemporary aesthetic, and with it, pride in the hand-made and attention to detail congruent with my heritage.

THE LEATHER
100% Australian, locally sourced, vegetable tanned, full grain leather is selected for its strength and individual character (scars and brands are not disguised or buffed away), which, over time, develops a rich patina that will tell it’s own story.

THE MAKING
Using traditional leather crafting methods and tools, all stages of production are hand worked, from the cutting of the leather, to the dying, stitching, burnishing and finishing.
Other elements are created using reclaimed native wood and solid brass and a decent dose of saturated colour and metallics.
Studio Liebling products are made to last and age with grace, as leather should.
